COVID-19 Care

The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has affected nearly every person of the developed world, whether by direct infection with the virus or secondary effects of our sociopolitical response to the virus. The nature of the ever changing data, questions around reporting, and the sociopolitical response to this virus have produced an environment of uncertainty and fear. Unfortunately, this has led to a significant decrease in quality of life and increase in morbidity for a significant portion of our population across our nation and the world

It is time to empower yourself with knowledge about your individual susceptibility to viral insults. Here, at RAD|life Clinic, we are offering genetic testing designed to identify your own individual genetic variations that may affect your respiratory resilience and immunological function.

Stress and isolation are showing devastating effects:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Weight gain

  • Insomnia

  • Gut disturbances

  • Irritable bowel

  • Fibromyalgia

  • Panic attacks

  • Suicide

  • The list goes on...

SNP stands for Single Nucleotide Polymorphism. This is the most common type of genetic variation humans, with each of us averaging 4.5 million SNPs within our genomes. Each SNP represents a minor "mistake" in genetic sequencing. As far as biological scientists know, a vast majority of these have no effect on disease risk or development. However, there are hundreds that we do know affect our susceptibility to disease, metabolic function, and developmental risks. The good news about these small variations in our genetic code is that these "mistakes" may be mitigated through various epigenetic factors, such as lifestyle and nutritional interventions.

Here at RAD|life Clinic, we are dedicated to Optimizing Genes Through Natural Means. With that founding tenet in mind, we are offering SNP panels for genetic markers that may specifically affect how one may respond to viral insults, especially those of the respiratory system. This is where personalized functional medicine meets personal empowerment.

The testing is quite simple.

  1. If you are not already a RAD|life Clinic patient, schedule and conduct an initial telemedicine visit, where we will determine appropriate next steps in your health journey, to include which tests may be necessary. If you are an established RAD|life Clinic patient, schedule a follow-up telemedicine visit.

  2.  The DNA collection kit will be sent to your address where you will follow the enclosed instructions to complete the simple cheek swab.

  3. Send the completed cheek swab in the enclosed postage paid packaging to the lab for analysis.

  4. Schedule and participate in your report of findings. Here we will discuss your test results and all of our recommendations based on your specific genetic make up.
